这首歌的演唱者是鲍比·温顿（Bobby Vinton），“以吻封缄”是一首很具浪漫色彩的歌曲，叙离别情，但不伤感；道分手苦，但不低沉。

      Air Supply是一支双人组合乐队，成员包括：主唱Russell Hitchcock （1949年6月15日出生于 Melbourne, Australia）和吉他手兼主唱 Graham Russell （1950年6月1日出生于 Sherwood, Nottingham, England）。 

　   以轻摇滚为自己特色的这支乐队在1980－1982年期间共有7支单曲进入到全美的Top 5。这支双人组合最早在Australia的Sydney进行演出。后来他们与其他四人组成一支六人组合，其中还包括：键盘手Frank Esler-Smith（于1948年6月5日出生在 London，England）,鼓手 Ralph Copper(于1951年4月6日出生在Cuffs Harbour, Australia),贝斯 David Green（于1949年10月 30日出生在 Melbourne, Australia ）,主吉他手 David Moyse （于1957年11月5日出生在Adelaide, Australia）。但他们仅获得了地区性的成功，其中值的一提的是他们的单曲“Love And Other Bruises”。1977年他们参加由Rod Steward资助的北美旅游演出，这一次乐队又增加了新的吉他手Rex Goh ,他于1951年3月5日出生在Singapore。 

　　1980年乐队与Arista Records唱片公司签约，乐队的首张专辑有三支曲子打入美国的Top 5，其中包括“All out Of Love”（这是他们唯一一支在英国获得成功的歌曲，进入了排行榜的第11名）和“Every Woman In The World”。他们的下一张专辑是1981年发行的“The One That You Love”，名列美国唱片榜的第10名，其中又有歌曲打入美国Top5的单曲榜，包括主打歌“Here I Am”又名“Just When I Thought I was Over You”，和“Sweet Dreams”。1982年他们的单曲“Even The Nights Are Better”一度曾到达美国排行榜的第5名，然而接下来的专辑“ Now And Forever”却不甚令人十分满意。　 

　   1993年他们以一曲“ Making Love Out Of Nothing At All Book Of Love”重新坐到了美国排行榜第二的位置，这支歌出自他们的专辑“Greatest Hits”。在接下来的10年里，虽然他们仍旧定期进行旅行演出，但Air Supply开始走下坡路。乐队于1988年解散但又于1991年重新组成。令人遗憾的是随后发行的乐曲都没能进入排行榜。他们最近的合辑“Book Of Love”，是他们继80年代初的辉煌后最强有力的专辑。他们的主要专辑包括：“The Definitive Collection”(1999), “The Book Of Love”(1997), “Greatest Hits live...Now And Forever”(1996),“The Vanishing Race”(1993), “The Earth Is”(1991), “The Christmas Album”(1990), “Greatest Hits”(1983), “Now And Forever”(1982), “The One That You Love”(1981), “Lost In Love”(1980), “ Air Supply”(1980), “Hearts In Motion”(1980),“ Live In Hawaii”(1980), “Love And Other Bruises”(1980)等。

                                          美国乡村音乐
 
      乡村音乐是土生土长的美国音乐，体现了浓郁的美国南方民间音乐的风格。传统的乡村音乐从19世纪的弦乐曲和传统叙事歌中发展而来，他的一个显著特点就是，不受性别和年龄限制，也不受时间地点的限制，一把吉他，外加班卓琴和口琴乐器的伴奏，歌手便可以尽情抒发他们心中的快乐和忧愁。在相当长的一段时间里，乡村音乐的歌手和歌迷几乎都是农民、牛仔、矿工和伐木工等生活在南部乡村的美国白人，歌手唱歌时也总是带着浓重的南方鼻音。大部分歌曲的内容都表达了他们对爱情的忠贞不渝，对乡土的眷恋之情，或者反映了生活的艰辛，贫困的煎熬以及家庭的温馨等。
      20世纪50年代初，随着电声乐器的发展，乡村音乐中逐渐加入了电子乐器、鼓、提琴、和号，声乐合唱也取代了先前音乐中“高亢、孤独”的歌声。这时期的乡村音乐已经慢慢失去原先醇厚的“乡土气息”，而呈现出更多的现代都市风味。借此契机，乡村音乐也在全美各地拓展了它的市场。田纳西州的收服纳什维尔是当时美国乡村音乐最大也是最为人所熟知的商业中心，绝大部分的乡村音乐歌手都来到这里寻求发展的机会，绝大部分的乡村歌曲也都是在纳什维尔的录音棚里录制的，以至于人们将这一时期的乡村音乐称为“纳什维尔音乐”。
      70年代中期，以威利.纳尔逊和维龙.詹宁斯为首，在美国乡村音乐界发起了一场称为“叛逆”的运动，旨在用一种更简单朴实的方法取代已经程式化的“纳什维尔音乐”。之后不久，在70年代末到80年代初，“新传统派歌手”异军突起，成为美国乡村音乐中最走红的一派。这些新一代乡村歌手的音乐不再是纳什维尔、纽约或洛衫机生产线上推出的毫无生命力的音乐制品，他们力图摒弃村音乐歌坛上那些令人眼花缭乱的手法和技巧，而以其不加雕饰的音乐风格恢复乡村音乐的真实面貌。“新传统派歌手”以其声音悦耳动听、旋律优美柔和而获得巨大成功。至今，它仍在美国流行乐坛上独领乡村音乐的风骚。
      在一个多世纪的发展历程中，美国乡村音乐虽然在音乐风格上多种多样，但是几乎都有着共同的主题思想，即歌曲都毫无例外地反映了普通美国人，特别是生活在社会最底层的普通工人和农民的爱情婚姻生活、宗教信仰、对乡土的热爱和眷恋以及他们生活中最普通也最感人的经历。不少歌曲都以工作场面为主题，还有的甚至以赌徒、醉汉和监狱囚犯的生活经历为主题，但是不管如何，美国乡村音乐是名副其实的美国“特产”，也是美国人民献给世界人民的一份美好礼物。

      轻快的吉他旋律，带着我们走进了久违的故土。似乎熟悉，似乎陌生，儿时的他或她是否还依然在远处眺望；儿时的老屋是否还依然等待我的归来；也许，在梦中，熟悉的面庞已不再陌生，然而，每次醒来，却是一场空。远方的人已离我多年，他们的身影，他们的笑容依然那么清晰。每次，在不经意间，在临睡前，总是想起他们，想起老屋，想起屋前的庭院，想起屋后的江堤，想起那一切。想回到儿时，已不现实，不仅人去屋空，就连回去的路都已经改变。也许是年岁的幼小，让我不懂得珍惜。人生最感伤的不是拥有后失去，而是想真心地去拥有的时候，它已经不复存在。想抓却怎么也抓不着。那是一种痛心，痛恨自己当初的不珍惜，痛恨自己明白得太迟。想为他们付出的时候，已经没有任何可以的余地。只能在悔恨中回忆。

第一次听到Scarborough Fair是在电影《毕业生》里。只是感觉好听。

后来再次看Lost in Translation，片中男女主人公应该是第二次在酒吧里相遇，酒吧歌手唱得就是这首Scarboroush Fair，酒吧里人很少，很静。歌声在酒吧里响起，空灵，静谧。

于是，开始疯狂在网上寻找这首歌。一开始并不知道这首歌的名字是Scarborough Fair。在百度里面搜索Lost in Translation 插曲，在一个论坛里最终找到了这首歌。
